Dimapur, April 4 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Kohima on Thursday issued a show cause notice to the PDA candidate for Lok Sabha, Tokheho Yepthomi for alleged violation of the election model code of conduct.
According to the notice, Yepthomi did not obtain permission from the Kohima administration for his “meeting and campaign” held in Kohima on April 3.
“Now, therefore, since you have violated the standing instructions of the Election Commission of India, notice is hereby issued as to why action should not be initiated against you for violation of the model code of conduct,” it read. Yepthomi has been asked to reply within 48 hours.
