Dimapur, March 22 (EMN): The establishment of the deputy commissioner of Mon district has issued a ‘final reminder’ to all arms license holders in the district. The licensees are directed to submit their arms licenses for the purpose of generating Unique Identification Numbers (UIN) for the ongoing National Database of Arms License. They are to do so on or before March 31.
As per the Ministry of Home Affairs, any arms license without Unique Identification Number shall be considered invalid with effect from 1st of April 2017. Further all administrative officers have been directed to inform all the arms license holders within their respective jurisdiction about the update.
