Northeast Frontier Railway to organise Rozgar mela on July 12

DIMAPUR — As part of the Government of India’s nationwide employment initiative, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will organise Rozgar mela in Guwahati, Dimapur and Siliguri on July 12 at 10:30 am.


An update from NFR stated that the Rozgar mela, spearheaded by the Ministry of Railways in collaboration with other Central Ministries, aims to distribute appointment letters to newly recruited candidates selected for various central government posts.


It stated that a total of 625 appointment letters would be handed over to candidates selected for various posts across government departments within the NFR zone.

The event in Guwahati would be held at Rang Bhawan, NFR headquarters in Maligaon, which would be attended by Sarbananda Sonowal, union minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.


In Dimapur, the event would be held at Town Hall, Naga Shopping Arcade, where Kiren Rijiju, union minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minister of Minority Affairs, would attend the programme.


In Siliguri, the Mela would take place at VIP Officers’ Rest House, Kashmir Colony, New Jalpaiguri, in the presence of Ajay Tamta, minister of state for Road Transport and Highways.


It further stated that NFR remains committed to contributing meaningfully to national development by fostering youth employment and supporting inclusive growth through such initiatives.
