DIMAPUR — The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has launched a three-month vigilance awareness campaign from August 17 to November 18 as a prelude to Vigilance Awareness Week 2026.
The campaign aims to promote integrity, transparency and ethical conduct among railway officials and employees while creating greater awareness of the importance of vigilance in public service, the NFR said in an update.
As part of the campaign, NFR General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava administered the Integrity Pledge at the NFR headquarters complex, while General Manager (Construction) Ashish Bansal led the pledge at the office premises of GM (CON), Maligaon, on Thursday.
Divisional Railway Managers across all NFR divisions, along with officers and staff, also participated in taking the Integrity Pledge.
The pledge seeks to promote integrity and transparency in all spheres of activity and contribute towards eradicating corruption in both public life and the working environment, the NFR stated.
The theme for Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 will be “Probity for Prosperity.”
As part of the awareness campaign, a walkathon/vigilance awareness march was also flagged off from the NFR headquarters complex. Railway officials, along with members of the NFR Scouts & Guides, participated in the march.
The campaign seeks to strengthen a culture of integrity, transparency, vigilance and accountability at all levels of railway functioning and encourage all stakeholders to contribute towards a transparent and corruption-free working environment.
