Northeast Frontier Railway extends special train services and adds extra trips to ease passenger rush during summer travel.

DIMAPUR — To clear the additional footfall of passengers during the summer rush, services of train no. 05932/05931 (Dibrugarh-Kolkata-Dibrugarh) and 03407/03408 (Bhagalpur-Katihar-Bhagalpur) have been extended for additional eight and three trips respectively in both directions.
Also, train no. 05630 (Guwahati-Tirupati) and train no. 05862 (Rangapara North-Vijayawada) has been decided to run for one trip as one way special train, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) stated in a press release.
Train No. 05932 (Dibrugarh-Kolkata) Special has been extended to run from June 6 till July 25. While in return direction, train no. 05931 (Kolkata-Dibrugarh) Special has been extended to run from June 8 till July 27.
The trains will operate with the existing schedule of service, timings, composition and stoppages for eight additional trips.
Train No. 03407 (Bhagalpur-Katihar) Special has been extended to run till June 4, while in return direction, train no. 03408 (Katihar-Bhagalpur) Special has been also extended to run till June 4.
The trains will operate with the existing schedule of service, timings, composition and stoppages for three additional trips.
Additionally, it has been decided to run two one-way Special trains for one trip on June 4. Both the trains, i.e. Train no.05630 (Guwahati-Tirupati) and train no. 05862 (Rangapara North-Vijayawada) will run on Thursday.
“Overall, these special train services will improve connectivity, facilitate smoother passenger movement and ensure a more comfortable travel experience during the summer rush period.
“The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available at IRCTC website and social media platforms of NFR. Passengers are requested to verify the details before undertaking their journey,” the release added.
