- DIMAPUR — To cope
with the anticipated extra rush of passengers, it has been decided to operate
three pairs of summer special trains at Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR).
- This includes the extension of periodicity for two existing
pairs of special trains and the introduction of a new pair, the NFR stated in
an update.
- Periodicity extension of trains
- Train No. 09623/09624 (Udaipur City – Forbesganj – Udaipur
City) summer special will now continue operations beyond its earlier schedule.
The periodicity of this pair has been extended from June 3- 5 to June 24- 26,
respectively. Train No. 09623 will depart from Udaipur city every Tuesday and
arrive at Forbesganj, while Train No. 09624 will depart from Forbesganj every
Thursday to reach Udaipur city. These services will run for four additional
trips, and their timings and stoppages will remain the same as earlier
notified.

- Similarly, Train No. 09189/09190 (Mumbai Central – Katihar –
Mumbai Central) will also see an extension of periodicity. The services of this
train pair will now run from June 7-10 up to September 27- 30. Train No. 09189
will depart from Mumbai Central every Saturday to reach Katihar, while Train
No. 09190 will depart from Katihar every Tuesday to return to Mumbai Central. A
total of 17 trips will be operated in each direction with no change in the
schedule.
- New summer special train
- In addition to the above, a new pair of summer special
trains has been introduced between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri. Train No. 03027
will depart from Howrah at 23:55 hours every Wednesday from June 4-25, and
arrive at New Jalpaiguri at 10:45 hours the following day. In the return
direction, Train No. 03028 will depart from New Jalpaiguri at 12:45 hours every
Thursday from June 5-26, and reach Howrah at 00:10 hours the next day. This
pair will also operate 04 trips in each direction.
