North East Coaching Institute inaugurated in Dimapur

Dimapur, Feb. 2: A new institution named the North East Coaching Institute (NECI) was inaugurated on Saturday at Churches colony, in Dimapur. The institute has been established as part of the ‘skilled educational society,’ an organisation formed in 2018 by a group of citizens from diverse professional education backgrounds in Nagaland.
They have the purpose to empower lives of the people. It also emphasizes on an informal association to enhance primary focus and other common interests such as development, ‘awareness,’ and motivation, leadership, coaching, and training etc.
Talking to Eastern Mirror, the founder of the NECI, Khekavi Sema said that the institution has a capacity for 160 students. The institution will be imparting coaching classes to students from high school to Nagaland Public Service Commission. Admissions will open from February 4, it was informed.
Coaching classes for Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations will be introduced after August while other examinations will be introduced in the following months, Sema said.
The retired director general of police O Alem was invited as the event’s chief guest. During his speech, he encouraged the audience to ‘make the UPSC recognise’ the success of the institution. “It might happen. It will happen; let it happen,” he added.
The NECI is equipped with hostel and library facilities. It imparts specialised teaching methods along with soft skill classes.
As a part of their initiative, the institution offers scholarship schemes to deserving students. It is applicable to candidates whose family income is less than two lakh per annum. It will be granted on the basis of a test and a personal interview, it was informed. The material, test, teaching faculty etc will be exactly the same as that of the regular students.
