East Christian University (NECU) conducted a one-day entrepreneurship awareness
programme on March 29, equipping students with practical skills to enhance
their entrepreneurial and career prospects.
- According to an update, the initiative aligns with the
National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasising vocational training alongside
academics.
- A total of five specialised training programmes were held in
food processing (baking, pickling, and jam making), soap making, sheet metal
and woodwork, and solid waste management. These workshops encouraged students

beyond conventional career paths.
- Awalo Keppen, manager at NTTC, echoed this sentiment,
highlighting the need for adaptability and an entrepreneurial mindset in
today's fast-changing job market.
- The event was successfully executed with the support of
NECU’s administration, faculty, students, and technical assistance from the
Nagaland Tool Room and Training Centre (NTTC).

its campus at Burma Camp for free career guidance and explore scholarships and
academic programmes offered by NECU.
