Norman Putsure College celebrates 4th Annual Winter Fest with Rev. Dirang Lungalang; event features carols, cosplay and stalls.

DIMAPUR — The Norman Putsure College in Chümoukedima celebrated its 4th Annual Winter Fest on December 6 at the college premises on the theme “Santa’s village carnival”. The event was attended by Rev. Dirang Lungalang as the special guest.
The programme consisted of two sessions. The formal session opened with an invocation by Suikachangbe Newme, followed by a welcome address delivered by Lorence, assistant professor, Department of Sociology.
The highlight of the evening, the lighting of the Christmas tree, was performed by the special guest, accompanied by Fury Putsure. In his address, Rev. Dirang Lungalang reflected on how Christmas is a season to retrospect on the love of God.
A Cosplay Competition was also held, where the first prize was bagged by Lakham from the Sociology Department and the second by Henman from the History Department. The formal session concluded with a vote of thanks by Wezhie, president of the students’ council.
The second session featured live music with a special appearance by local artist Shau Evans, accompanied by Sentiein Kichu. Students of the college also showcased their talent.
In addition to the stage events, the celebration included food stalls and game stalls. The Department of English was rewarded for the best stall.
