Noklak DC and DDMA Chairman P Mono Khiamniungan has issued a monsoon safety advisory, urging residents to stay alert, avoid flooded areas, and use emergency helplines.
DIMAPUR — In view of the monsoon season, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Noklak, P Mono Khiamniungan, has issued a precautionary advisory to ensure the safety and well-being of the public.
According to the advisory issued on July 17, residents have been urged to stay informed about weather conditions and forecasts by downloading the Safer Nagaland application from the Google Play Store.
The advisory also cautioned the public to avoid flooded areas, exercise caution while travelling, avoid travelling at night, and stay away from power lines.

Further, residents have been urged to look out for vulnerable individuals, including the elderly, children, and persons with special needs, and extend necessary assistance whenever required.
The public has also been advised to report any emergency to the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) or the State Emergency Operation Centre.
