EMN DIMAPUR, JANUARY 23 Noke led NPF today submitted petitions to the Election Commission of India (ECI) in New Delhi and to the Chief Electoral Officer, Government of Nagaland, informing them the election of a new NPF president and the ‘legitimate removal of the former president’ as per the laid down norms and procedures of the NPF constitution. In a press statement, the Noke led NPF said it has also informed the Election Commission of India that Noke Wangnao is the legitimate president of the NPF and therefore the cock symbol and party nomenclature rightfully belongs to the NPF under Noke’s leadership. Both the petitions submitted in the office of the CEC, New Delhi and the CEO, Kohima have been officially received by both the offices, it claimed. The Noke led NPF has also issued show cause notices on why disciplinary action should not be taken against T.R. Zeliang, Yitachu, Y. Patton, C.L. John and Kiyaneilie Peseyie. “If they fail to reply satisfactorily to the Disciplinary Action Committee, appropriate disciplinary action shall be initiated against them,” it warned.
