DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) held a consultative meeting-cum-felicitation programme in honour of the incoming Advisor, Youth Resources & Sports, S Keoshu Yimchunger, at Talimeren conference room, NOA office complex, Kohima, on April 3.
The Advisor in his address thanked the NOA and the YR&S department for the felicitation, and sought the cooperation of the department and the association in the activities to be carried out in the coming days, a DIPR report stated.
Keoshu urged the department and association to work together as a team and to render advice and suggestions for uplift of sports in the state.
Citing the examples of neighbouring states like Assam and Manipur, he was of the opinion that Nagaland too could excel at national and international level if the stakeholders concerned work hard with renewed spirit.
Secretary General, NOA & Advisor to Chief Minister, Abu Metha, in his key note address congratulated Keoshu on behalf of the NOA and the entire sports fraternity. Metha also assured that the association would give full-fledged cooperation to the new Advisor. He said the NOA is the most fortunate association in the state since the president of the NOA is also the Chief Minister.
