DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) has announced that the Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games (NOPG) 2026 will be held from April 7 to the 18th in Kohima, Chümoukedima and Dimapur.
According to a notification issued by Abu Metha, Secretary General of NOA, football will commence on April 7, while all other disciplines will commence from April 14.
The list of disciplines recognised by the NOA has been determined as per the proposed forthcoming 4th North East Games and taking into consideration the available infrastructure and resources.
The list of disciplines includes Archery, Athletics, Boxing, Wushu, Football, Badminton, Pencak Silat, Basketball, and Taekwondo.

Kohima District Football Association announces player registration, renewal
The notification stated that each concerned sports association will be issued a competition notification separately. A separate notification related to the Paralympic discipline will be notified by the Paralympic Committee.
The list of medal events for all the disciplines will be notified separately. The contingents will be as per the 17 districts of Nagaland.
Registration of players and teams will be done electronically (online) commencing from March 20 and the last date for submission of players' and officials' registration will be April 1. It may be noted that once players are registered, no changes of names will be permitted.
The Games Organising Committee will provide accommodation, local transport, food and technical competition arrangements in the host city. The date of arrival and departure will be notified separately.
A lump sum amount of INR 2,000 per athlete will be sanctioned based on the number of athletes registered in the portal by each district for preparation towards the NOPG 2026. In addition, bus fare (to and fro) from the district headquarters to Chümoukedima will also be released as per the NST Deluxe rate to the respective district through the office of the deputy commissioners.
All concerned deputy commissioners are requested to send their bank account details to the NOA at noafinancedept@gmail.com, latest by March 13.
The co-ordinating officials from the Nagaland Olympic Association will be Khuvinu Tase (9362355375) and Kivitoli Shohe (9863188216). They can be contacted between 10 am and 4 pm on working days (Monday to Friday).
All districts are to appoint one chef de mission and one deputy chef de mission. The names, contact numbers and email addresses of the officials may be sent to the NOA on nagaolym@gmail.com latest by March 17.
