DIMAPUR — In view of the election to the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC), scheduled to be held next week (Wednesday), the Deputy Commissioner of Kohima has declared the stretch of road from Razhü Point Junction to Deputy Commissioner's Office (via Old NST/New NST/Y-Junction) as No Parking Zone on June 25 and 26.
An update from DPRO Kohima informed that traffic restrictions will be imposed during the “dispatch and receipt of election polling parties” on the mentioned two days, “as per requirement for which the general public have been requested to bear the inconvenience and extend cooperation”.
“The defaulting vehicles will be towed at the expense of the vehicle owners and also liable to be penalized under section 179 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988,” read the update.
