Dimapur, June 8 (EMN): In wake of recent fissure within party in the State calling for change in leadership, BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav has categorically stated that there shall be no party organisational changes before the elections.
Ram Madhav said every party officials, senior leaders and party workers should cooperate with the State president to make the party strong, adding all the party members have to work hard to strengthen the party from the booth level upwards and make party’s programmes a grand success.
Ram Madhav said this during a meeting with the State office bearers, Core Group members and BJP legislators in Kohima on June 7. He the states of Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura, which are going to the polls early next year, are very important for BJP to bring development and rapid progress in these states at par with the rest of the country.
He, therefore, told party members to stay united and strong to take the state forward on various fronts of development. The national general secretary also made it clear that the State party’s Head Office should be situated at Kohima.
He was accompanied by Northeast organising secretary Ajay Jamwal. Ram Madhav also informed that BJP national president Amit Shah will visit Kohima on August 27.
Ram Madhav also met the BJP leaders including minister of Transports, Civil Aviation, IT & Communications P Paiwang Konyak, Advisors Imtilemba Sangtam, Dr. TM Lotha. He also met the chief minister before his departure.
