DIMAPUR — The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) has instructed its district units to verify the Inner Line Permit (ILP) of all non-indigenous passengers entering Nagaland.
Taxi operators have been directed to coordinate with railway authorities and check ILPs at designated checkpoints. Any violations or discrepancies must be reported immediately, it stated.
ANTA members found violating the rules will face strict action, including potential bans from operating taxis in the state, the association warned.
Following these directives, the Dimapur unit has directed all taxi owners, drivers, and operators under its jurisdiction to ensure that every non-indigenous passenger possesses a valid ILP before commencing the journey.

Under the “No ILP–No Service” rule, passengers without a valid ILP will not be allowed to travel.
The unit underscored that drivers and taxi owners will be held fully responsible for violations. Penalties include immediate debarment from taxi services, reporting to the ANTA headquarters in Kohima, and further action as deemed necessary by the association and competent authorities.
Non-indigenous drivers under the Dimapur unit are also required to possess a valid ILP. The directives come into immediate effect and shall remain binding until further notice, it stated.
