Dimapur, March 4 (EMN): Contrary to reports fuelled by the Bharat bandh called on March 5 by tribal groups to protest the Supreme Court’s order directing states to complete the eviction of families whose claims had been rejected under the Forest Rights Act, there will be no bandh in Nagaland today.
According to the Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry, no such bandh will be imposed by the business community in the state. It has directed its affiliated chambers to ensure shops remain open in their respective jurisdiction.
The traders’ group has also asked the citizens not to be confused.
