Dimapur, May 10 (EMN): The working committee of Naga national political groups has announced its decision not to allow any group from the working committee to “donation or indulge in taxation of any kind from TK Engineering Co., which is engaged in four-lane work from Chumoukedima to Purana Bazaar.”
A statement from the committee on Friday informed that the decision was taken during a meeting at Oking on May 9.
“The decision was taken to enable the concerned company (sic) to focus on quality workmanship, removing all hurdles and complete the project within stipulated timeframe. The NNPGs shall get involved to strictly check the quality implied in case, the TK Engineering Co., compromise the work quality whatsoever. The company was also asked to promptly report to working committee members of NNPGs should any donation demand is made,” read the statement.
It also endorsed the formation of a special team, comprising members of military wing from all NNPGs under WC, to tackle the menace of imposters and dubious elements terrorising entrepreneurs and business outlets especially in and around Dimapur.
“The commercial hub of Nagaland is in the grip of gun-toting imposters posing as representatives of NNPGs. They shall be identified and befittingly penalised. There are also reports of policeman in civilian dresses arresting people randomly at gunpoint. Without proper identity there is a danger of them being mistaken as rogue elements. Proper mechanism must be in place to avoid accident through mistaken identity. The NNPGs appeal to all citizens, particularly business community to extend co-operation in this endeavour,” it stated.
