Dimapur, Dec. 7 (EMN): Zeliangrong region of the Naga National Council (NNC), parent body, comprising Assam, Manipur, and Nagaland has appealed to all the Naga national workers of various factions to desist from the factional killing and violence in the interest of the Naga people yearning for peaceful living.
NNC statement issued by its MIP urged the Naga revolutionary groups operating in the Zeliangrong territory to maintain a peaceful environment and to co-exist in mutual understanding as brothers and sisters. It also stated that any misunderstanding between different groups of national workers must be sorted out for the cause of Naga people adding hatred, jealousy, and enmity have no place in a peaceful society.
It stated that the ongoing current Naga peace talk with the GoI by six NNPGs working committee and NSCN-IM is in advanced stage, which will be in a highest political arrangement and honourable for the Nagas basing on the unique Naga historical and political rights.
NNC Zeliangrong region also supported the six NNPGs working committee leaders having negotiation with GoI under the leadership of N Kitovi Zhimomi, ato kilongser of GPRN/NSCN, as convener. It also supported the collective leadership of NNC parent body led by its president Z Royim Yimchunger as co-convenor of working committee, executive members Toshi Wallling and Zeliangrong region general secretary Liangkebo, who representing in the Naga peace talks with GoI.
NNC further conveyed Merry Christmas and happy New Year greetings.
