The Naga National Council observed the Naga National Martyrs’ Day in various regions in the homeland.
The occasion was marked by reading of the Holy Bible, prayer, laying wreaths and function in remembrance of the Naga martyrs.
In Yimchungrii Region, the Acting President along with the Regional members observed the occasion, in Lotha Region the Regional President with his officials and regional members observed the Day in a function, different Sub-Regional Council under Lotha Region observed the Day too.
In Angami Region, the General Secretary along with women officials and members observed the day with reading of the Holy Bible, prayer and laying wreaths at the graveyard of the first Naga martyr Zasibituo Naga (A Judge of Naga Court) his son Capt.Viletuo Nagi, Goyiepra Nakhro (A signatory of Naga Memorandum to Sir Simon, British Statutory Commission), Kruzhalie Peseyie (Japfii State Angh), Brig. Rivilie Nagi, Kuolhuvi Nakhro (Secretary to Japfii Angh), Capt.Rovituo Peseyie etc., in Union Territory-1 the chairman along with his members observed the day. In Ao Region, the Sub-Regional Council officials and members observed the Day, Zeliangrong Regional Council also observed the Day. In Kuki Region, the Regional President along with his members observed the Martyrs’ Day.
