DIMAPUR — The Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) has appealed to the Governor of Nagaland to intervene in the ongoing agitation by RMSA teachers in the state.
In a memorandum to the Raj Bhavan on Tuesday, the association said the Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench, had earlier directed the state government to grant the aggrieved teachers the pay scale of INR 9,300–34,800 with a grade pay of INR. 4,200 per month. The order, it stated, was further upheld by the Supreme Court after the government’s special leave petition was dismissed.
The NMA urged the state government, through the Governor’s office, to implement the court’s order and address the demands of the agitating teachers, describing the move as a matter of justice.
