Dimapur, Jan 22 (EMN): Under Article 190 clause 3(b) of the Indian Constitution read with Rule 180 clause (1)(2) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Dr. Imtiwapang Aier, speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) has accepted the resignations tendered by Vikho-o Yhoshu and N Jacob Zhimomi from the membership of the twelfth Nagaland Legislative Assembly with effect from January 20.
Consequent upon the resignations, the NLA speaker, has vide notification NO:AS/LEG-23/2014 declared the seats under 14 Southern Angami-I (ST) and 4 Ghaspani (ST) Assembly Constituencies as vacant with effect from January 20. This was stated in a press release issued by commissioner and secretary N Benjamin Newmai.
