Mokokchung, May 6 (EMN): Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), Sharingain Longkumer, and the minister in-charge of Covid-19 for Mokokchung district, Metsubo Jamir, visited the district Covid-19 hospital Mokokchung on May 6 and interacted with the medical staff.
The legislators and officials discussed on the preparedness in the event of an outbreak of Covid-19 in the district. The legislators also inspected the ongoing works on improvement and new infrastructure development undertaken in the hospital.
Earlier, Metsubo Jamir held a review meeting on preparedness of Covid-19 in the district with the district task force on Covid-19 at the office of ADC (Planning).
Addressing the members, Jamir urged them to seriously take up their responsibility stating that, “we are facing a very serious situation.” He has also emphasised on better co-ordination with those villages in the state border areas in terms of supplying essential commodities, medical facilities, and security issues.
Jamir further assured all possible help in his capacity, an update from DPRO Mokokchung stated.
