Dimapur, April 21 (EMN): Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly Sharingain Longkumer on Tuesday took part in video conference with the speakers of all the state legislatures in India.
An update received here on April 21 informed that the conference was hosted by Speaker of Lok Sabha Om Birla and was focused on the Covid-19 pandemic that is affecting the country and the rest of the world.
During his conference, Longkumer shared with the participants about various initiatives taken by the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for containing the spread of the virus in Nagaland.
The speaker of Lok Sabha appreciated the efforts of Nagaland state in addressing the situation in his concluding remarks, the update added.
