Nagaland Legislative Assembly passes INR 21,068.85 cr. budget

Kohima, Feb. 15 (EMN):
The Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) passed the state Appropriation (No. 2) Bill- 2020, authorising the state government to withdraw INR 21068.85 crore for 2020-21, on the last day of the 13th NLA session.

Thus, the budget passed for the financial year 2020-21 (year-ending March 31, 2021)) stands at INR 21068,85,19,000 (Twenty-one thousand sixty-eight crore eighty-five lakh nineteen thousand).   

The Bill was passed after approving the demand for grants of various departments through a voice vote on the floor of the Assembly. Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, who presented a deficit budget of INR 2358.82 crore on February 13, moved the Bill on the floor of Assembly.
