KOHIMA — Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingain Longkumer, adjourned the seventh session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly sine die on Thursday.
The two-day session witnessed passing of several new government bills and the presentation of new rules. It had taken up questions on issues confronting the state, discussed on matter of urgent public importance and presentation of statements by the legislators during zero-hour.

Two new bills, namely the Nagaland State Finance Commission Bill 2025, and the Nagaland Plain Zoning Bill 2025, under Water Resources department were passed. The primary purpose of the Nagaland Plain Zoning Bill, 2025, is to regulate land use, development in flood-prone areas and plan to mitigate flood damage.
The house also presented ‘Nagaland Forensic Science Laboratory Service Rules 2024 under Police department,’ ‘Nagaland Evaluation Service Rules, 2025’ of Planning and Transformation Department, and ‘Service Rules, 2024’ of Nagaland New and Renewable Energy.
A series of Nagaland Legislative Assembly rules, including, the ‘Internal Working Rules Committee of Privileges and Ethics’, ‘Internal Working Rules Committee on Government Assurances (First amendment) 2025’, ‘Internal Working Rules of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation’ were also presented.
