DIMAPUR — A three-day skill training for rural employment, organised by Nagaland Khadi and Village Industries Board (NKVIB) in collaboration with Global Concepts Nagaland (GCN), got underway in Longkhim town under Tuensang district on August 9.
An update from NKVIB stated that the advisor of IT and Communication, Economics and Statistics and Evaluation, Sethrongkyu, and the deputy commissioner of Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, were present at the inaugural programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Sethrongkyu expressed gratitude to Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu, chairman NKVIB and advisor to chief minister, and Global Concepts Nagaland for bringing the skill training for rural employment to the district.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]It stated that a total of 361 people have registered online and are undergoing training in food processing, beekeeping, soap making and upholstery carpentry.
The opening ceremony programme was led by S AkhabaSangta, additional CEO of NKVIB, while an invocation prayer was said by Rev. Y Imtiba, executive secretary of USBLA, Yangli.
The report stated that members from Longkhim Town Baptist Church performed a song followed by a short speech by Sarei Muinao, lead district manager, Tuensang, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Kezhangulie Kire, president of Global Concepts Nagaland.
