DIMAPUR — The Nkialwa Students’ Union (Nkialwa Heseiname Bau) felicitated the successful candidates of the HSLC and HSSLC examinations conducted by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), along with five candidates who were recently recruited as constables, during a programme held at the Rehangki Conference Hall in Jalukie town on April 30.
According to an update, in his presidential address, NHB President Keyinreulu congratulated the successful students and candidates who had cleared the constable recruitment examinations.
He remarked that Nkialwa is a land of blessings and achievements, recalling with pride that even a former chief minister had emerged from the soil of Nkialwa. He further expressed happiness that the academic performance of students from the village continues to improve year after year.

Highlighting the activities of the union, he mentioned the Cherry Plantation Project, Students’ Union Prayer Day, NHB Academic Award, and the Cleanest Colony Award as some of the key initiatives undertaken by the organisation.
He also noted that the academic award was earlier presented to students securing 80 per cent and above in their examinations, but as such achievements had become increasingly common, the benchmark was raised to 90 per cent from last year onwards.
Special guest Haito Zeliang, NPF Working President of the 7 Peren Assembly Constituency, advised the students not to waste their energy engaging in petty issues and distractions while pursuing their goals. He urged them to remain focused, determined, and committed to their aspirations.
He encouraged the students to remain well acquainted with the culture, traditions, language, land boundaries, and history of the village while stressing the importance of preserving their identity and heritage.
Former Chairman of Nkialwa Village, Ipungba, also addressed the gathering and called on the students to work diligently and always keep God first in their lives.
During the programme, this year’s NHB Academic Award, which includes a certificate along with a cash prize of INR 5,000, was presented to Kidotei Nren in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement.
