DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF) and Christian Forum Dimapur (CFD) have appealed to all churches and Christian organisations in Nagaland to join in prayer during the Sunday Devotional Service on August 25, as declared by the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC).

The NBCC has written to all its affiliated associations, calling for prayer, in response to state government’s plan to “to revisit the Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition (NLTP) Act of 1989 with the possibility of partially lifting the prohibition in certain areas”.

In a joint statement, the NJCF and CFD said: “We believe that removing this Act will have severe consequences for our society and future generations.”

The forums also asked the people to seek God's guidance and wisdom for the leaders so that they may not make any decisions that could harm the future generations.
