Dimapur, Jan. 31 (EMN): The Niuland Area Students' Union has cautioned government educational institutes within its jurisdiction to comply with the provisions of the Right To Education Act during the admission of students to schools.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the union stated that “many government educational institutes such as government high school, government middle school and government primary school” in the area were charging admission fees from the students. “In this regard, the union appeal to all the government schools under Niuland subdivision to strictly comply with the Right To Education Act. Failing to comply with the Act, the union will initiate strict necessary action against the defaulting schools.
“If at all any monetary transactions from the students has to be made, then it should be accompanied with proper receipt memo duly signed and authorised by competent authority,” the statement read.
