DIMAPUR — The Deputy Commissioner of Niuland, Sara S Jamir reviewed activities undertaken under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) programme during the fourth quarterly meeting of the District Level Committee held at the DC’s Conference Hall on March 10.
A DIPR update informed that the meeting was attended by officials including the Medical Officer, District Education Officer, District Manager (State Lead Bank), Extra Assistant Commissioner and BBBP Nodal Officer, and the District Programme Officer, who served as Member Secretary.
During the meeting, Extra Assistant Commissioner Kelengunuo Solo highlighted various BBBP programmes, initiatives, awareness campaigns and sensitisation activities carried out in Niuland district during the financial year 2025–26.
Jamir, who also chairs the District Level Committee under Mission Shakti, commended the officials involved in the programme for their dedication to uplifting and empowering women in the district. She appreciated the efforts taken to promote the welfare and empowerment of girls and women through the BBBP initiative.
