
DIMAPUR — Nationalist Institute of Technology and Innovation (NITI), Nagaland, on Thursday organised a workshop on making proper biodata at its Dimapur centre.
An update from NITI Nagaland stated that Ajay Sethi, founder and managing director of LIMPL and social worker, was the resource person. It mentioned that 75% of the freshers in Nagaland are not aware of making proper biodata.
Speaking on the occasion, Sethi defined the difference between resume, curriculum vitae (CV) and biodata. He stressed upon the need for volunteerism to gain experience as well as to participate actively in the group discussions.
Comparing the organisational needs for selecting a candidate akin to selection of bride or groom, Sethi emphasised upon the NITI students to apply to the right organisations by matching their needs and aptitude.
He also advised the students to use the proper format besides mentioning about short term, long term and lifetime goals.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]Meanwhile, it informed that NITI would soon organise mock sessions on interviews to enable NITI students have an edge in the best of the organisations within and outside Nagaland.
The CEO of NITI, Rishav Sethi, informed that the gap between the demand of the recruiting organisations and supply of the matching manpower is huge, which calls for the graduates in Nagaland to learn the required skills for better opportunities.
