NITI Aayog official visits Atoizu

Ngayaipam A Shimray, Picto Shohe, and others in Atoizu, Zunheboto district, on Thursday.


  • DIMAPUR — Atoizu hosted the official visit of Ngayaipam A Shimray, Young Professional from NITI Aayog, as part of the Government of India’s Aspirational Block Programme for the Akhuaito Block in Zunheboto district on Thursday.

  • The event, jointly organised by MLA Picto Shohe and the district administration of Zunheboto, was chaired by Dr. Samuel Akho Konyak P, Extra Assistant Commissioner, Atoizu, and nodal officer for the Aspirational Block Programme, according to a DIPR report.

  • On the occasion, short speeches were delivered by Shohe, Anatoly Suu (Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Zunheboto), and Kitoli Naje (Chairperson, Atoizu Town Council). Shimray presented the keynote address and led an interactive discussion with departmental representatives.

  • Subsequent PowerPoint presentations showcased sectoral initiatives by the deputy chief medical officer, Zunheboto; district program officer, Social Welfare; subdivision education officer; executive engineers of the Public Health Engineering Department and SDO PWD (R&B); district representative and BPM, NSRLM Akuhaito; and the Agricultural, Veterinary, and Soil Conservation officers.

  • As part of the visit, the entire team undertook extensive field visits a day before and on the day of the event, inspecting offices, government institutions, health centres, and schools across the Atoizu Sub-Division.

  • Earlier, on May 28, an official visit by the Young Professional was conducted at the chairman’s residence in Akuhaito town.

  • The programme, jointly organised by MLA Shohe and the district administration, was chaired by Kivikali, Aspirational Block fellow.
