Dimapur, Aug. 1 (EMN): Following the unsealing order and permission to resume services by the deputy commissioner of Dimapur on July 30, Nikos Hospital and Research Centre in Dimapur has announced that it will resume all services like OPD, emergency/casualty, in-patient admission, deliveries, operation, vaccination and others from Monday, August 3.
The managing director of the hospital, Dr. Victo A Wotsa, informed this in a statement on Saturday.
The hospital’s emergency room and the intensive care unit (ICU) were sealed on July 18, prior to the imposition of total lockdown in Dimapur, after two patients in its ICU tested positive for Covid-19, out of which one passed away on July 21, informed the stated from the healthcare facility.
‘Tracing, isolation and testing of all contacts were carried out following proper protocol under guidance of the Health department. Unfortunately, eight of our staff tested positive for Covid-19 by TrueNat screening and were shifted to Covid care centre,’ informed the managing director.
“The hospital complex has been thoroughly sanitised by the DMC and all non contact staff are also in home quarantine since then,” he added.
Meanwhile, the management of Zion Hospital and Research Centre has informed that it will suspend all services from August 2 till further notice, as a precautionary measure in view of few staff of the facility being tested positive for Covid-19.
“All contact tracing, testing and isolation have been initiated as per government guidelines,” it stated.
