Dimapur, July 5 : Photography enthusiasts, photographers and image touts will now have a more access to the entire range of Nikon’s hi-end products. Japanese giant Nikon, one of global leaders in imaging technology, has now a handprint in Nagaland too.
A new Nikon center called the Nikon Experience Zone has been inaugurated at the Chishi Marketing complex at the Circular Road in Dimapur.
The center was inaugurated on Monday.
The store was inaugurated by Nikon India’s Managing Director Kazuo Ninomiya and Redefine Sales and Marketing Vice President Jitender Chug.
Offering a wide range of Nikon DSLR cameras along with Nikon’s Coolpix range, Nikon 1 series, select array of NIKKOR lenses, Nikon accessories and Nikon Sport Optics range Nikon Experience Zone , Nikon aspires to give matchless ‘touch and feel’ experience to its customers enabling them to make an unbiased purchase decision.
At the inauguration, Ninomiya remarked that Nikon had always believed in providing top and professional services to customers and have been promoting artistic photography culture across the world and the country.
“Today we are delighted to launch Nikon’s first experience zone in Nagaland and this is an important step to expand our presence in the Northeast for the benefit of photography enthusiasts in the region” said Ninomiya.
The eastern region, Ninomiya said has proved a significant market for Nikon with the already existing 29 Nikon experience zones.
The Nikon official expressed optimism that with the launch of the Nikon center in the state of Nagaland, the demand for both the compact as well as D-SLR category products would be boosted. He hoped that the center would cater to the varied needs of its customer based in Nagaland.
Nikon’s products include cameras, camera lenses, binoculars, microscopes, ophthalmic lenses, measurement instruments, and the steppers used in the photolithography steps of semiconductor fabrication, of which it is the world’s second largest manufacturer. The companies held by Nikon form the Nikon Group.
Among its products are Nikkor imaging lenses (for F-mount cameras, large format photography, photographic enlargers, and other applications), the Nikon F-series of 35 mm film SLR cameras, the Nikon D-series of digital SLR cameras, the Coolpix series of compact digital cameras, and the Nikonos series of underwater film cameras. Nikon’s main competitors in camera and lens manufacturing include Canon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Pentax, and Olympus.
