Mokokchung, May 13 (EMN): Felicitation programme of the successful HSLC and HSSL students of NI Jamir GHSS Ongpangpong, Mokokchung, was held at its school premised on Saturday.
Thanks to the hard work put in by the students and the dedication and mentorship of the teachers, this year too NI Jamir GHSS secured a noteworthy result as all the students appearing for HSLC and HSSL passed out with flying colours. Altogether five students including three from HSSL and two from HSLC secured distinction on various subjects.Speaking at the programme, SDO (C) and Ongpangkong South in-charge said the school was founded by few visionary leaders of the Ongpangkong Mungdang. He said the school was founded on the noble principle to give back to the society.
In this regard, she advised all the passed out students to always keep in mind how best they can serve the society by giving back to the society as Christian and as a Naga.
“We are still a growing society, therefore, there is lot to be given back to the society. Arguing on Facebook and Whatsapp is not going to change the world but we need to go out and do something to bring positive change to the society,” Levitoli said while encouraging the students to be doers and changers.
President of Ongpangkong Mungdang and acting president of the Ao Senden C Angang Jamir congratulated the students and teachers for bringing laurels to the institution. Angang said the school, today, stands to be reckoned with. He accredited success to the dedication and determination of teachers to bring out the potentiality of the students. Saying that hard work has finally brought about milestone achievement in their life, he also encouraged the students to double their hard work if they want to be counted as successful person in the society.
Successful students were felicitated with gifts by the principal of the school. Short speech on behalf of the successful students was delivered by Pongernaro.
