DIMAPUR — Lok Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) S Supongmeren Jamir has pulled up the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL) over delays in ongoing national highway projects in Nagaland, including the Dimapur–Kohima four-lane and several two-lane roads being built by the NHIDCL.
A press release informed that the MP chaired a coordination meeting with NHIDCL officials and contractors on Wednesday where he reviewed the status of the major highway works.
After noting that several stretches of the roads were lagging behind schedule, he urged the contractors to expedite construction “without any further delay.”

The meeting, attended by the NHIDCL executive director and project contractors, included detailed interactions on bottlenecks and progress in each work package.
It was further decided that the MP, along with NHIDCL officials, will conduct site inspections across multiple project locations in January 2026 to verify on-ground progress.
