DIMAPUR — The National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), MoRTH, donated an ambulance each to PHC Tizit and PHC Wakching under its CSR activity.
Deputy Commissioner of Mon, Wennyei Konyak, who handed over the keys of the ambulances to the chief medical officer, Mon, expressed gratitude to the NHIDCL for the generous gesture, a DIPR report stated.
The DC also appealed to the general public to take ownership of the vehicles and to use it judiciously and cater to the needs of the people.
The CMO Mon also thanked the NHIDCL for providing the ambulances, stating that the vehicles will significantly strengthen the emergency response system, especially in remote and hard-to-reach areas of the district.
“Timely transportation of patients to healthcare facilities is crucial in saving lives, and these ambulances will help reduce delays during medical emergencies, accidents, and critical health conditions.

The ambulances were flagged off by the deputy commissioner to their respective locations, marking a significant step towards improving emergency medical response and healthcare delivery in the district, the report assed.
