
DIMAPUR— Director General (DG) of Home Guards, Civil Defence and SDRF, Renchamo P Kikon, has called upon the members of Nagaland Home Guards Service Association (NHGSA) to strive towards achieving specific targets and make use of the association to bring about positive changes in the department.
Kikon stated this while speaking at the 14th general session of NHGSA held at the Central Training Centre, Toluvi, on June 14. He has lauded the department for providing selfless service to the people, especially during disaster despite having limited man power. He further called upon the members to take pride in the association and strive to bring about positive changes in the department.
In a presidential address, NHGSA president, Avinuo, has highlighted on various challenges faced by the association members and department at large.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]The business session was chaired by its vice president, Ngongvai E Phom, while a special address was delivered by S Rotokha Zhimomi, commandant of CTI, wherein he highlighted on the past experiences about the department.
The deputy commandant general and advisor of NHGSA, Medozhalie Pienyu, has impressed upon the members to contribute for the development of the department during their tenure in service. He further acknowledged the contribution made by various officers and encouraged all the members to strive for excellence in order to take the department forward.
