Dimapur, Oct. 1 (EMN): Nagaland Government Registered Class-I Contractors’ Union (NGRC-1 CU) has demanded blacklisting the M/s Naga Commercial Enterprise allegedly for submitting fake documents in the open tender process.
Besides, NGRC-1 CU also demanded suspension of Er. I Meren Ao from service for issuing fake documents namely the work order ‘Construction of permanent Barrack (36*24) inclusive of kitchen (18*12) and toilet (16812)- 12 nos at 13th NAP(IR) Battalion, Yachang, in favour of M/S. Naga Commercial Enterprise, a government registered contractor and supplier, Dimapur.
NGRC-1 CU, in a press release issued by its president Seyiekuolie, has extended fullest support to ACAUT Nagaland in their demand to set up Lokayukta in Nagaland so as to check all forms of corruption, mismanagement and siphoning of public of public funds and also to immediately terminated all backdoor appointments made post June 6, 2016.
The union has affirmed continuing fighting for a powerful/independent Lokayukta in the State. It felt that setting up of Lokayukta in the State is the need of the hour to punished public servants who were involved in corruption practices.
On complaint received from M/S K Nakhro, NGRC-1 CU learned that the solvency certificate from Vijaya Bank, Dimapur, and vehicle bearing registration No. NL-04/A 2238 from Mon and work order No.SE/PEP/TB/WO/PLAN/ 2013-14 dated Kohima September 16, 2013, reportedly issued by Er. I Meren Ao, Superintendent Engineer, Police Engineering Project, Nagaland, Kohima, was found to be fake. The firm M/S Naga Commercial Enterprise was detected submitting these fake documents to the tender committee i.e Nagaland University in the open tender process.
The union also observed that it was also unbecoming on the part of university tender committee for considering the firm despite of producing the said fake documents including a fake work order namely ‘Construction of permanent Barrack (36*24) inclusive of kitchen (18*12) and toilet (16812)-12 nos at 13th NAP (IR) Battallion Yachang in favour of M/S Naga Commercial Enterprise.
Subsequently, NGRC-1 CU had submitted a representation to the competent authority with a demand to black list the firm ‘M/s Naga Commercial Enterprise’ at the earliest and also immediately suspends Er. I Meren Ao from service and allow the appropriate legal action against them in the interest of justice. The Union had also written to Nagaland University to take immediate necessary actions against M/S Naga Commercial Enterprise and also cancelled the said work order.
