Ngada mini Hornbill celebrations conclude

Dimapur, Nov. 29 (EMN):The Ngada Mini Hornbill festival of the Rengma Naga community in old Tseminyu town, which began on Nov. 26 concluded on Nov. 28. Advisor for Rural Development Dr. Neikiesalie Kire; and advisor for IT, Science & Technology and NRE, Mhonlumo Kikon were the ‘Ngada guests,’ according to updates from the DIPR. R Khing, the advisor for Veterinary & Animal Husbandry and Women Resources Development, addressed the people as “Ngada chief host.” Khing acknowledged the administration of Tseminyu for the ‘grand success of the programs.’ Also, Dr. Neikiesalie Kire said in his address that ‘we should take our celebrations meaningfully, so that there will be a permanent unity and peace in the society.’ According to the updates, he urged the people to be united as Christians for the ‘betterment of our future.’ Likewise, Mhonlumo Kikon expressed joy and closeness with the Rengma people and appreciated them for inviting him as a ‘Ngada guest,’ the DIPR stated. “He spoke about unity among various communities, in connection to which he said that we all have forgiven and forgot our passed olden life style, now we are living as one, he commented. Kikon, therefore, reminded upon the Rengma brothers and sisters to continue to maintain harmony and friendly living among neighbouring communities, so that all round developmental activities can be successfully implemented,” the DIPR stated. The legislator was said to have talked about road developmental works being undertaken in the state by the People’s Democratic Alliance government. He appealed to landowners and contractors to cooperate with the government to successfully complete the constructions in the state. Highlights of the celebrations included folk music and dance performances from community groups, the updates stated.
