Dimapur, Oct. 18 (EMN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to operate another festival special train between Katihar – Amritsar - Katihar to facilitate the passengers during puja rush.
An update from the NFR informed that the festival special train will run for two trips each in both the directions.
Festival special train no. 04680 (Amritsar - Katihar) will depart from Amritsar at 8:10 am on Oct. 22 and the 27th to reach Katihar at 4:30 pm the next day.
Festival special train No. 04679 (Katihar - Amritsar) will depart from Katihar at 8 pm on Oct. 23 and the 28th to reach Amritsar at 4:30 am the third day.
The festival special train is said to run via Barauni Jn., Gorakhpur, Moradabad and Ludhiana Jn. stations.
It will run with 2 AC three tier, 11 sleeper class, nine general coaches and two luggage vans.
Further, train no. 52539/52538 (New Jalpaiguri – Darjeeling – New Jalpaiguri) AC passengers will remain cancelled from Oct. 29 to Dec. 16 due to poor patronisation.
The details of stoppages and timings of this train are available at IRCTC website and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of NFR.
