Dimapur, Oct. 5 (EMN): As part of the national mission on Government e-Market Place (GeM), the Principal Chief Materials Manager of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), Construction on October 4 organised a seminar to create awareness among vendors and to ensure purchase of goods and services available on GeM.
Speaking at the seminar held at the Conference hall of NFR (Construction) head HQs, Maligaon, Chief Administrative Officer/Con-I SN Singh, said that the NFR/Con has resolved to mandatorily follow 100% purchase through GeM which ensures transparency, efficiency and ease in public buying.
Singh said that the seminar will immensely help in creating awareness among all the users of GeM from railway as well as the vendors. He further wished great success in achieving the objectives of the GeM mission.
Anuda Shukla, GeM facilitator from New Delhi imparted training to the participants.
A compendium of “Guidelines on Procurement of Goods and Services through GeM” was also released during the programme.
