Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to operate one weekly special train between Guwahati and Ranchi for seven trips in both directions with effect from March 4 up to April 16.
An update from NFR informed that few trains would be cancelled and rescheduled in view of pre-non interlocking and non-interlocking works at Khagaria station of Sonpur division in east central railway for opening of new single line between Khagaria-Alauli section.
It informed that special train No. 05671/05672 Guwahati–Ranchi–Guwahati weekly special (via Goalpara town) will run for 7 trips, while train No. 05671 Guwahati–Ranchi weekly special would depart from Guwahati on every Saturday at 11:40 to arrive Ranchi on next day at 14:25 hours. It informed that the train would run from March 4 to April 15.
Train No. 05672 Ranchi–Guwahati weekly special would depart from Ranchi on every Sunday at 20:30 hours to arrive Guwahati on next day at 23:45 hours. The train would run from March 5 to April 16.
The special train would consist of 20 coaches. There would be AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, sleeper class and general second class for accommodation of passengers.
Meanwhile, it informed that train No. 03316/03315, 05263/05264 Samastipur–Katihar–Samastipur MEMU and 05249/05250 Katihar–Barauni Jn–Katihar MEMU commencing journey on March 4 and 5 would remain cancelled.
It further informed that train No. 15909 (Dibrugarh–Lalgarh) Avadh Assam express, commencing journey on March 4 has been rescheduled at 11:50 hours instead of 10:20 hour at Dibrugarh. It added that train No. 04653 (New Jalpaiguri–Amritsar) express, commencing journey on March 3 has been rescheduled at 9:10 hour instead of 7:00 hour at New Jalpaiguri.
