Dimapur, Dec. 20 (EMN): General Manager North East Frontier Railway Sanjive Roy on December 14 inaugurated a new food plaza at Rangiya railway station.
The Food Plaza at Rangiya was constructed under an initiative of IRCTC, is the 6th such commissioned food plaza in entire NFR. Other food plazas are functioning at Guwahati, Dimapur, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj and New Bongaigaon stations, NFR Chief Public Relations Officer Pranav Jyoti Sharma said.
According to new Catering Policy – 2017, food plazas, fast food units, food courts apart from Jan Ahaar stalls are coming up in various stations which will be managed by IRCTC, the officer said.
Sharma mentioned that the NFR has plans to open more such food plazas in Agartala, Badarpur, Katihar and other major stations.
