Dimapur, Dec. 17 (EMN): Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) observed ‘National Energy Conservation Day’ with a week-long programme from December 8 to the 14th.
The main objective behind organising the event was to make people aware of the importance of energy and the need of its conservation, NFR in an update stated.
A large number of officers and staff participated in this energy conservation week by taking active part in different activities throughout NFR.
Various programmes and activities related to energy conservation such as such as leaflet distribution, art and quiz competition, poster and banner display and Nukkad Natak slogans, were organised throughout NFR, create awareness amongst the staff as well as the common public about the importance of energy conservation. Counselling of staff on urgency of energy conservation were also organised at various field units.
As part of the observance, a Nukkad Natak was organised near the premises of NFR headquarters complex on December 14, in presence of railway officials and public, to create awareness on energy conservation, it stated.
