DIMAPUR — The
Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to speed up two trains with
revised timings, effective from February 26.
Train No. 15658 (Kamakhya - Delhi) Brahmaputra Mail will be
accelerated by one hour, while Train No. 15815 (Guwahati – Dekargaon) Intercity
Express will have a revised schedule with a ten minute adjustment. The updated
timings will be permanently implemented at all enroute stoppages to enhance
mobility and passenger convenience, the NFR stated in a press release.
Accordingly, train no. 15658(Kamakhya - Delhi) Brahmaputra
Mail will depart from Kamakhya station at 16:55 hours. The train will arrive
Rangiya Jn. at 17:30 hours and will depart at 17:35hours.
Similarly, the train will arrive New Bongaigaon station a
19:25 hours and depart at 19:30 hours; will arrive New Alipurduar station at
21:15 hours and depart at 21:20 hours; will arrive New Jalpaiguri at 00:05
hours and depart at 00:15 hours; will arrive Malda Town at 04:25 hours and
depart at 04:35 hours; will arrive Bhagalpur at 08:16 hours and depart at 08:26
hours; will arrive Abhaipurat 09:56 hours and depart at 09:58 hours to reach
its final destination Delhi.
The timings of the train have also been revised at all its
designated stoppages.
Further, train No. 15815 (Guwahati – Dekargaon) Intercity
Express will run with revised timings leaving from Guwahati Station at 16:55
hours. The train will arrive Kamakhya station at 17:10 hours and will depart at
17:12 hours.
With continuous infrastructural advancements, the NFR has
significantly improved the speed and efficiency of its train operations.
“As a result, trains are now running faster, offering
passengers a smoother, more comfortable and safer travel experience. These
enhancements not only reduce travel time but also improve punctuality, ensuring
a more reliable and convenient journey for commuters,” the release stated.
It is expected that the new timings will help in better
train operations over NFR. Passengers have been requested to verify the details
of train running status and schedule on real time basis at National Train
Enquiry System (NTES) before undertaking their journey.
