Dimapur, Dec. 14 (EMN): The 26th edition of a five-day long ‘Natasurya’ drama festival is being celebrated with a colourful itinerary organised by ‘Natasurya Memorial Celebration Committee’ in association with Directorate of Cultural Affairs, government of Assam.
An update from Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) informed that the festival which began on Dec. 12 will conclude on Dec. 16 at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, Panjabari in Guwahati.
On Dec. 15, the NFR Cultural Association (NFRCA) will perform the famous drama ‘Labhita’ by Rupkonwar Jyotiprashad Agarwala from 6:30 pm onwards. The drama is said to have been directed by Chandrajit Saikia, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, NFR and the founder president of NFRCA. Padma Shri Nrityacharya Jatin Goswami, one of the most prominent faces of Assam’s Sattriya Culture, will be present as guest of honour while Anshul Gupta, General Manager, NFR will grace the occasion as chief guest.
The members of NFRCA are those employees who are recruited by NFR through cultural quota. NFRCA represents NFR at various cultural programmes, theatres, drama, etc. bringing glory to NFR through their active participation in various occasions.
