Dimapur, Aug. 10 (EMN): Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has appreciated ABAM for the generous contribution of INR 36,56,282 towards the construction of Naga survival road, the erstwhile foothill road.
NFHRCC, after a thorough deliberation, agreed upon to hand over the said contributions to the State government for a better coordination. ABAM executive secretary, Rev. Mar Atsongchanger handed over the cheque to the chief minister in the presence of the then minister of Road and Bridges, Tongpang Ozukum, in the presence of NFHRCC representatives. Rev. Mar Atsongchanger informed that the money was a one-time contribution from all the churches under ABAM to the chief minister as a token of concern and gratitude from the people towards the project.
In a consultative meeting held at Dimapur on August 9, NFHRCC reaffirmed its unflinching commitment to support the government in all possible manner till the dream project of the rechristen Nagaland Expressway becomes a reality.
In a joint statement, NFHRCC convenor, Supu Jamir, general secretary, W Lemba Chang, and the assistant general secretary, Chenithung Humtsoe, further expressed gratitude to the chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, for his untiring commitment to the historic road of the Nagas. It informed that the final clearance of the project is awaited at PMO’s office in New Delhi.
