Neymar Jr. signs with Facebook Gaming for exclusive streaming content

Dimapur, Dec. 16 (EMN): Brazilian football superstar and Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar Jr. has signed an exclusive deal with Facebook Gaming to livestream exclusively on the platform.

Facebook Gaming on Thursday announced the deal on Twitter and its official website.

On its blog, Facebook Gaming wrote, "Starting December 17, Neymar Jr. fans will be able to watch his gaming livestreams exclusively on Neymar Jr’s Facebook Page."

Neymar Jr. will stream games "multiple times" per month and also collaborate with a different creator once each month. The 29-year-old Brazilian footballer is known to be an avid gamer and he has previously streamed games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Call of Duty on Twitch.

"I’m very happy to partner with Facebook Gaming on my livestreams!,” wrote Neymar Jr on Facebook Gaming's blog post. “The gaming world has always been one of my greatest passions after football, and I can barely wait to hang out and have fun with everyone who also shares this passion."

Neymar Jr. on Thursday took to Twitter to share the news of his Facebook Gaming deal with his fans.

With over 254 million followers on Facebook and Instagram, Neymar Jr. is one of the world's biggest sports personalities and this bodes well for Facebook Gaming's push to get a larger piece of the pie in the streaming sector.
